This is a project that I was incredibly glad to work on. I had a lot going on, but I made it fit into my schedule because it was too darn cool to ignore. The brief was to build two eels for a children’s theatre stage production of The Little Mermaid. Ever since I built a set of Avenue Q puppets for a Swedish production, I’ve been itching to do more stage puppets. The puppets are worn across both arms and are comprised of a head section and a tail section. Here are a few pictures of the process as well as the finished product.
