It is rare that I get the time to work to a personal puppet project. I was feeling very inspired! I sketched a few things out, got a little input from friends and began work! It all starts with this wonderful, long shaggy fur that I ordered. I textured it a bit, and began work. The puppet is not quite finished, as I’ll need some free time to do so in this sea of puppet orders I find myself in. Now don’t get me wrong, I am BEYOND grateful for all of the work that has come my way as of late, but I am very excited to finish this guy. Through the pictures below you can see the progress made. As I said, he was quite shaggy, so quite a bit of hand trimming has been in order. I also carved for him a foam tongue. This is a technique I had not ever used before, but I have to say I love it, and have used it on several projects since. Enjoy the pictures, and keep checking in to see more of him as he comes.
