Here are some pieces I’ve been working on for this project. I had ordered some shorter, chocolate brown fur to make up this turkey’s feathery parts. Good fur, when trimmed down, very much resembles feathers.
So this is actually the first time I’ve ever machine sewn fur. It wasn’t easy, but its much faster and the quality is great. As many of you know, I just started learning a sewing machine a few months ago.
Here is the finished body and one partially finished wing. The finished wings will have real turkey feathers that match the color of the fur glued to the outsides to give it a more realistic feel.
