Based off of our sketch by Dave Hulteen, we needed some very smooth, suave looking eyes. I vacuum formed these eye pieces to look like the drawing but the pupils were going to be a challenge.
Originally we had ordered some glass pupils that really caught the light well but we were afraid that they would stand out too far on the whites and be distracting. So, Austin, the creative director at Sublime Media Group (the group I’ve been more than blessed to work with) rendered these in Illustrator and then had a friend print them onto sticky backed vinyl. I can’t believe they turned out so well.
The pupils I am using are slightly smaller than this one but I wanted to show off the design.
